Solution Engineering

3-D manufacture to deliver insulative components is currently used within Lydall for targeted automotive underhood and underbody application. Our engineers are quickly working to develop similar capabilities for our Appliance customers.

Here, we highlight the many technologies that Lydall can bring to the solution when our customers include us in the early stages of appliance design.

Our molded heat shields provide multiple component heat and acoustic protection that can be formed to meet complex geometry in lightweight structural and decorative applications. A variety of materials can be combined to optimize desired properties while maintaining mold-ability.

Stamped metal technology gives Lydall the capability to manufacture heavy-duty structural components with insulation imbedded inside. Fiberglass-filled designs are excellent for thermal breaks and hot-spot management. All-metal shields (AMS) use a patented metal mesh to give a very thin layer for thermal containment with excellent hot-spot diffusion.
